Yak hair flies

Did another load of flies the other night while watching "The Born Supremacy."

Most are about ten inches long.

C & F Fly turner

My old turner sustained a fatal fall from my table the other day and had to be buried. I did some searching and decided to purchase a turner with a larger wheel. I also like the fact that it has slits in it for the hooks to slide in, instead of pushing the hook point into the foam. The foam wheel on the old turner looked like a pin cushion and I had problems with the flies flopping from side to side as the turner spun.

Big barracuda

Being a big pike guy- I have always wanted to target big cudas. I have a few shots on my desk top from guys bragging about their catches.

Tying with YAK hair

I think YAK hair is my new favorite material. These are all about 10 inches long. While the YAK is not as bulky, I do think it will shed water better and should still present a big enough silhouette for the fish. Some of these flies still need heads, but I like to tie a bunch and then spend a night doing nothing but epoxy.
