Monthly Cigar Corner Sinclair Shot Vanilla and Rum

This months cigar is the Sinclair Shot in Vanilla Vodka and Spiced Rum.

I have to say these were the nicest smoothest cigars I have had in a long time. The flavor unlit was great and carried all the way through the smoke. My only complaint could be that they were not Churchill's.

I liked these so much I ordered a box of Vanilla the same day. I was told I could not by two boxes at a time. Boo.

I would rate these a 5 all the way across the board. These will be my newest fishing and yard work choice for the near future. They also come in nice handy tubes which are great for throwing in your fly vest. All in all a great smoke.

Spiced Rum

Sorry for not posting

Been posting more on facebook, just cause its much faster and I have done little fishing lately. Hot weather and low water has killed the fishing for pike. Smallmouth are fun, but gotta be pretty big for me to camera.I promise to continue to fish and smoke cigars and post as I can. Thanks for following me and sticking around.

Monthly Cigar Corner ROCKY PATEL OLDE WORLD RESERVE

New to the blog will be a monthly cigar review I will start doing for Thompson. The link and all informtion will be attached as well. All I ask is if you would order something, please put a note in the comments that you saw it here.

One note is that I consider myself a pretty low key cigar smoker. I can afford the best, but actually prefer some lesser costly brands, especially the flavored cigars lately. Lately, the Rum and Honey have been my favorite, but Grape and Cherry are always good.

I received these last night and since i had about 3 hours of invisible dog fence to put in the ground, I had time. The first thing I liked was the oval shape of the cigar. It made it easier to hold in my mouth since it is a large cigar. The wrapper was nice and didn't tear or crack when I punched it. Typical to a good cigar, if I was not puffing it would go out on it's own. The flavor was quite bold and spicy. This is defiantly not a fishing cigar. I would have been upset if the big boy had hit during my smoke and this cigar was bitten or ended up in the water. Keep this one for the celebratory trip back to the car.

Wrapper: 4 out of 5.
Flavor: 4 out of 5.
Quality of manufacturing: 5 out of 5.
Box:..didn't come in one :-(
Name: 4 out of 5, cause they used the 'e' on OLDE. Would have been a 5 had it been called 'Ye Olde World Reserve.'

All in all this was a nice smoking cigar. The next will be enjoyed in the patio chair with a nice sipping Bourbon to REALLY give it a good review.

Advertising fun.

Some of you know I like to poke fun at advertising choices.  Got this glock book in the mail.  It's the  gun choice of cops army men and ninja world wide.  Also the "compact" is the choice of naked women with few spots to conceal a firearm. As well the first choice of birds of prey every where.

The Musky Chick

Spent some time throwing line with lisa Davis from "strip and twitch." Rolled a few fish but it was pretty much an Un eventful day as far as fish go. And that fly is red not pink.

What do they eat when they don't have. ..

Hit a local Creek tonight.  Caught a few bass. The gnats were horrible.  I relived the bog scene from Lord of the Rings. my ears are on fire from the bites. Best part was watching an owl try to catch carp as they swam through a shallow section of water.

Still Alive and Kicking...just no fishing

2 weeks till I move and nothing to do but pack. The rivers have been blown out for the last month so very little fishing has been done. The fly tying material has been packed for almost 2 months now and not a single fly has been tied. I promise to get back to regular posting shortly and maybe even do a few give away's.

No fishing allowed!

Been a terrible week for fly fishing. 9 inches of rain in 2 days has all rivers, lakes, streams and small gutters blown out. The poor fish are just fighting for their lives. Also I am selling my house so all I have done is paint, clean and get ready. Total suckage. But there is hope........
I have 2 new rooms to choose from for fly tying at the new house.
The main floor den.

Or the basement. Pool table not included.
