How do these flies work? with no weight? Do you fish it with a sink tip? i tied some big flies and they like this and they just sit on top or slowly sink and they don't stay upright. they just go sideways.
All my flies will lay on the top pf the water until stripped. I use a sinking line in the winter and a floating line in the summer. Not staying upright is always a problem with big flies. I have put things into my flies to run them straight. There is more hair on the top to make it more boyant. I use large hooks to get some more weight on the bottom of the fly. I also use some epoxy on the bottom to help keel the fly. But keeping fly symmetrical from top to bottom and good form is the best key.
